the barrington boar

It was an honour to be asked to do the design and branding for The Barrington Boar, an award-winning country pub in Somerset run by my exceptionally talented friends Al & Vicky.

Barrington is a conservation village located on the southern edge of the Somerset levels, with many thatched houses built using local ‘cob’ stone. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and overlooked by Barrington Court, a magnificent Tudor house built in around 1538.

Al & Vicky wanted something in-keeping with both the history of the village and Somerset’s distinct culinary heritage.

I used Vicky’s own calligraphy to create the main font used across all of the visual identity.
