Toucans are astonishingly beautiful. There's over 40 toucan species, and so I was spoilt for choice when selecting the birds I wanted to feature for this illustration.

They’re famous for their brightly-coloured bills, and when researching them I realised many feature patterns, shapes and colours that look almost like landscapes and architecture.

The ‘scenes’ in the poster are all based on real toucan bills.
